John Sadleir MP 1813-1856. With his fingers in many financial pies and institutions, after being elected to Westminster he was soon to be made a junior Treasury Minister. But having lost much money through unwise speculation, he began embezzling banks and forging financial documents. His fraudulent dealings and indebtedness caused the Tipperary Bank to fail. With exposure imminent he took his own life.
