Ernest Pickett, 1883-1959. Son of John Pickett and Ellen Pickett née Smee.
The Great War left Ernest with shrapnel in his shoulder for the rest of his life.
Somehow, though born and brought up in Battersea, he married a
Crediton girl, Ada Sobey.
