Margaret travelled a great deal. We can trace some of her journies.On 29th July 1912 she arrived in Quebec from Glasgow, on board the Hesperian, single, aged 35, her destination Honolulu.She is recorded as crossing the border from Canada to the USA, describing herself as a tourist, going to Honolulu. According to the 1930 census return she moved to the USA in 1913, though it appears from the above it was 1912. In 1927 she sailed from Honolulu to Wilmington, California on board the SS City of Honolulu. She gives her address as Los Angeles, and knocked two years off her age. On 14th June 1930 she sailed from Honolulu to San Francisco on the SS Malolo.On 8th July 1930 she arrived in London from New York, on board the SS Minnekanda. Her proposed address in London was the Hotel Imperial. She had knocked 4 years off her age.On 6th August 1930 she sailed for New York from Southampton,on the Homeric, giving her destined address as the Brookland Hotel, Honolulu, Hawaii. Her address in England had been c/o Hooper, Southwick, Sussex. On 7 September 1954 she appeared on the BOAC passenger manifest for London to New York.
