Individual Note

Frank's career began in Tiverton where he was a Draper's apprentice. In 1891 he is living in Marylebone Lane, - one of three addresses clustered around Oxford street inhabited by over 360 Draper's employees - most of them Draper's Assistants, from all over the country. They were almost certainly employed at Selfridges, and living at company hostels.
