Individual Note

According to the research of cousin Norina Dixon, the family stories about Rhoda indicate that she spent a good deal of her life in a Mental Hospital - probably Exminster. One story has it that she was overly fond of the young men in uniform during the First World War, and one of them broke her heart. As a r3esult of her grief she was committed. another story, and the more plausible , has it that she was in love with one young soldier who was sent to the front and never returned. His body was never found. She took comfort in religion and eventually her religious devotion turned to mania and she was committed.
