Note on Husband: Frank Aubrey ATTENBROW

Frank ran away to sea when he was 13 and joined the Merchant Navy, where he became an officer. Aged 20, a "member of the Merchant Service", he sailed from Yokphama to London on the P&O Ranpura, arriving on 24 JUly 1931, and he sailed from Buenos Aires to Southampton on the Royal Mail Lines Asturias, arriving on 24th October 1932,occupation seaman (D.B.S.)

His address was Bannsley Lodge,19 Woodlands Grove, Isleworth, Middlesex.

In 1943 and 1945 Frank and family were living at Rozel, The Park, Great Bookham, Surrey.

The family emigrated to Australia in 1948, by plane.

In Australia Frank worked for the newspaper in Paramatta NSW, then for the council as a building inspector.
