Note on Husband: William LABBETT
In 1871 William is living with his parents at St Martin's Lane, Crediton
In 1881 He is in London, in "Kensington", today in the area of Westbourne Park, Kensal Green, certainly North Kensington, at 78 Southam Street, where he is living alongside the Great Western Railway line, and is a Farrier.
Other occupants of the house include carpenters, labourers, dress makers, cab drivers and their families from all over the country, including Samuel Luxton and his family, a carpenter and joiner also from Crediton.
In 1891 the family has moved to the other side of the GWR line to 214 Wornington Rd, still working as Smith Farrier. They have a visitor - Emily stevens age 14, and a boarder William Warwick, a 32 year old general labourer from Paddington. The house seems to hold only two more families.
Note on Wife: Mary Jane MOUNSDON
Mary Jane is a cook in Exeter and then Paddington, before her marriage.
